There is a common fault on thefuel filter assembly fitted to TDV6 Range Rover Sport and Discovery 3 & 4. This fault causes mechanics worldwide to assume that the water sensor – WKW000080 – fitted to the bottom of the Fuel Filter – LR009705. Although all signs point to a faulty water sensor this isn’t the case and replacing the water sensor doesn’t actually fix the problem. You will need to remove and replace the full fuel filter housing.
